Aside from being the Content Curator, we wanted to know who Lianna really was; which is why we asked these super deep questions…
What’s your favorite design style?
I am a big fan of more eclectic/artsy design styles. I really like 60’s and 70’s inspired design, in particular, I really love online jewelry brand, Local Eclectic’s design style.
What’s a brand you really love right now?
One brand I really love right now is Bon Appetit Magazine. I’m very impressed by how they’ve leveraged their online following to get young people, myself included, to subscribe to their paper magazine. The gorgeous visuals, easy to follow recipes, and casual tone of their content makes their print medium feel very fresh.
Who inspires you?
“I’m inspired by Thomas Eppel, who was my first business professor as a freshman at UC Irvine. He is largely the reason I stuck with business and his passion for analytics and travel was contagious.”
What book would you recommend?
“I would recommend We Crossed a Bridge and It Trembled by Wendy Pearlman. Wendy is a professor who spent more than 20 years studying and living in the Arab world, her book is a collection of intimate testimonials and poetic fragments that chronicle the Syrian conflict from its origins to its present horror. It’s a beautiful collection that allows you to understand the crisis from the point of view of the people who it affects the most, rather than a disconnected reporter.”
