Like the rest of the world, we were made aware of news and happenings regarding “all things Bitwise” from news outlets and social media. We don’t have much more insight regarding Bitwise than anyone else who has been following the story.
How has Bitwise’s fall effected Butler Branding?
Not much – praise God! Bitwise was the master tenant of the building our office was located in (formerly known as Bitwise South Stadium), and we were subleasing office space from them.
As tenants, we still had access to the building and our offices. The only thing we did not have available to us was building maintenance for a short period of time, while Summa Development Group was taking over property management.
Summa Development Group has assumed control and management of South Stadium (and the other buildings owned by Summa).
Why did Butler Branding move?
On August 1, 2023 Butler Branding moved from our old offices (previously Bitwise South Stadium) to 2721 Ventura (previously Bitwise 41, aka The Old Spaghetti Factory). We took over the top floor of the former Bitwise Cowork space.
There were 4 primary reasons for moving our offices.
- Keep up with growth. In the years 2021-2022 the Butler Branding team grew, and our old offices were not big enough to house all our team in the office.
- Work in person. Collaboration is critical for our work. Post-COVID, we wanted to make sure all our employees were working in the office. Our old office was not conducive for this.
- Consolidate our spaces. We were previously leasing two spaces in South Stadium (one space for most of our team to work from, and another space for our photo/video studio). Our team was either split up, or our studio was underutilized. We wanted one bigger space to house all of our operations.
- Take us into the future. Butler Branding has plans for growth, including additional services, trainings, workshops, internships, podcasting as a service, photo/video studio rentals, and more. Our new space allows us to operate perfectly for the service we have, as well as growth for the near future.
